Playing Notes:

• This piece is a very gentle and emotional piece, so play it very gently, even where forte is indicated, yes play louder but keep it a gentle loudness. This piece should also be played freely, so don’t rely on a metronome too much, really exaggerate the pauses (fermata) and use a lot of accents on notes you feel need them.
• The pedal should be lifted each bar unless it’s indicated otherwise, but if you feel like you need to change the pedaling at any point then feel free to do so.
• Bar 25-32: Play this part really gently and quietly, and add in your own fermata marks when you feel it needs it. I held the very first note of this section slightly longer.
• If you find bar 73 to 80 too difficult or you don’t like the sound of it, you can replace these bars with bar 55 to 52.
