Lunacy Biography

Lunacy is a three-piece original neoclassical instrumental ensemble featuring two classically trained violinists and a classically trained pianist. Combining cinematic classical arrangements with modern electronic/rock elements, the trio creates immersive instrumental music that bridges the worlds of contemporary classical and modern music.  

Following the release of their debut single, "Addicted," the group has also contributed to a range of acclaimed film and television soundtracks composed by James Everett, including the Channel 5 drama series Ellis , Channel 4 Thriller Series In Flight , Drama/Thriller Feature Film Lie Of The Land by John Carlin and Tara Hegarty and Colum Eastwood's Horror Feature Film The Morrigan . Their performances can also be heard in the award-winning short films The Magic Spade, Wake , and Sins of Sinclair. 

The ensemble has performed at weddings, private events, festivals, competitions, and showcase events across Northern Ireland. Festival appearances include Strandford Festival, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Councils Event Christmas Light Trail Festival and Accidental Theatre Belfast's Taking Up Space Festival . They have also featured in prestigious showcases and competitions, including The Signal Foundation's Opera House Future Talent Showcase, Translink Grand Pianist, and Cool FM's Boost Busker Corner.   

With a distinctive blend of classical musicianship and modern cinematic composition, Lunacy continues to write and perform in the neoclassical music scene and Film and TV industry.
